Does CyberGhost VPN Keep Logs?

No, CyberGhost says it doesn't keep logs of what you do while connected to its VPN. That includes things like your browsing activity, DNS queries, original IP address and connection timestamps.

That doesn't mean CyberGhost collects no data at all. Like most VPN services, it still needs to process some account, billing and service-related information. The important distinction is that its no-logs policy is focused on not recording your VPN activity in a way that can be linked back to you.

CyberGhost also uses RAM-only VPN servers, which means data is stored in volatile memory rather than written permanently to a hard drive. When a server is restarted, anything held in RAM is wiped.

More importantly, CyberGhost's no-logs policy has been independently audited by Deloitte. That gives the policy more weight than simply taking the company's word for it, although no audit can guarantee how a service will behave forever.

So, does CyberGhost VPN keep logs? Not the kind of activity logs most people are worried about when choosing a VPN. It still processes some information needed to run the service, but its stated policy is that your browsing activity and VPN connections aren't logged in a way that can be traced back to you.
