About Me
Hi 👋, I’m Eli. I’m a developer who’s into coding, hiking and exploring tools that actually respect your privacy. I’ve always been curious about how things work and frustrated when they don’t. When I started looking into VPNs, I wanted answers that were clear, honest and based on real use, not just marketing. That’s what led me to create CompareVPN and share what I learn along the way.
Motivation
I’m not here to sell you on some "Top 10 VPNs You MUST Try" list. There’s enough of that already and most of it’s written for clicks, not people. I started CompareVPN because I was tired of the same copy-paste advice from sites chasing commissions. So I test VPNs myself. I pay for them. I use them. I break them (kind of). Then I write it all down so you know what’s actually worth your time and what’s not.
How It Works
I buy a subscription to every VPN I test and use it like a normal person would: on my laptop, my phone, even a dusty old tablet. I check how fast it is, how private it really is, and whether it makes me want to pull my hair out. Then I write a review that actually says something.
Why Trust CompareVPN
CompareVPN includes ratings and feedback from real users. You get a mix of personal testing and community reviews, ranked by users feedback, not by which company pays the most. And yeah, there’s a public voting system, because what people actually use matters.
